Temple Practices

 

 

Hand to Heart Water Breathing, Rite of Returning​​

​​

This practice brings the body back into rhythm and safety.

Place on hand over your heart and one over your lower belly, Inhale slowly through the nose, Exhale gntly through the mouth.  Repeat five times

​​​​​

Whisper:

​

As water flows, I am supported,

I am here, I am safe,

I am held within the Temple of my body​

​​

​​

​Feet to earth, Rite of Settling​

​​

This practice invites grounding and integration.

​​

Sit or stand with both feet flat on the floor

inhale gently, as you exhale, feel your weight settle into your feet

Repeat three times

​​

Whisper:

I am fully here,

I supported,

The Temple of my body holds me.

​​

​​​​

Water Eye Blessing, Rite of Clear seeing​

​​

This practice restores ease to the eyes and the inner vision through water, breath and gentle awareness.  

​​​​​​

When to Practice:

​​​

​Morning light, after gentle sun gazing, or whenever the eyes feel dry, tired, or overworked.

​​​

You will need:

-A small bowl of water

-A quiet space or soft ambient sound

Place the bowl of water before you, 

Take one slow breath in

Take one slow breath out

Rest your hands gently around the bowl

​​

Softly speak aloud or inward:

​​

"Within this temple of Serenity, water becomes the a vessel of peace, clarity and gently seeing.

​​​

Pause for a moment of stillness

​​

Anoint the Eyes

Dip your fingertips lightly into the water

with the softest touch, anoint,

​​

- Beneath your eyes:

- The outer corners of the eyes, no rubbing, no effort, close your eyes and allow the mucles around the eyes to melt downward and back

​

Whisper:

​

I release strain, i release urgency, I allow my vision, inner and outer to return to its natural harmony.  Paus for a moment

Remain here for 3 short breaths, on your final exhale, imagine the eyes being gently rinsed not sharpened, not focused, but simply clear.  

Touch water the once more and say

As water flows, so does clarity

As water rests, so do I

​The water may be returned to the earth or to a plant

​​​

Temple Closing:​

​​

These practices fpr, a gentle rhythm within the Temple.  

You are welcome to return whenever your body, heart, or sporit calls for rest.
